SENATOBIA – Tyrin Jones poured in a career-high 32 points and Seth LeDay added his ninth double-double of the season as the Rangers rallied from four down at half to defeat Coahoma 85-73 Thursday night at Howard Coliseum.

Northwest improved to 15-7 overall and 7-4 in division play, clinching a spot in this year's MACJC Tournament Feb. 22-25. The Rangers closed the home slate 10-2 overall for their 21st consecutive winning season at home.

Coahoma (4-17, 1-9) jumped out to an early 15-6 lead and never trailed in the first half, taking a 37-33 lead into the locker room.

Jones and Lewis Freeman combined to score 10 of the first 14 points of the second half for the Rangers as part of a 13-2 run to give Northwest its first lead of the night, 40-39, with 17:56 to play.

The Rangers shot at a 60 percent clip in the period, hitting 18-of-30 field goal attempts. LeDay and Jones were 10-of-12 from the floor for 29 points.

After the Tigers pulled within 62-56 at the 7-minute mark, Northwest put the game away with a 15-8 spurt, capped by a Dre'Kalo Clayton 3-pointer from right in front of the Ranger bench.

Behind Jones' 32 points, LeDay added 12 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks in addition to 13 points and seven boards from Freeman. Trevious Allen was the long Tiger in double figures, finishing with 14 points and 10 boards.
