CLARKSDALE – Four Lady Rangers finished in double figures, led by
Averyale Joy's second career 20-point game, and Northwest trailed just once in an 81-69 win at Coahoma Tuesday night.
Northwest moved to 10-2 overall and 4-1 in the division with its third straight win while Coahoma fell to 2-13 and 0-4.
Destiny Monix's 3-pointer at the 9:13-mark of the first quarter gave the Lady Tigers their lone lead of the game at 3-2.
Northwest quickly put together an 11-2 run to take an eight-point lead and took control of the game.

Sara Lytle and
Brianna Williams hit three of nine first-half 3-pointers to spark the run.
Coahoma scored the last six points of the quarter to make it 20-18 Northwest after one.
Joy scored 11 first-half points, followed by Lytle and Brown with eight apiece to give Northwest a 41-35 advantage at half.
Northwest opened the second half with a 10-0 run to stretch its lead to a game-high 16 points and CCC never got within seven the rest of the way.
Behind Joy's 20 points, Lytle posted her third straight double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, Williams added 15, Brown had 12 and
BrayLee Landreth pumped in seven points and a career-high 16 rebounds.
CCC was led by Eugenia Gilliam with 22 points (18 in second half) and 17 rebounds.
Northwest steps out of division play Thursday to play host to ASU Mid-South at 5 p.m.
