RAYMOND – The Northwest women's tennis team dropped a hard-fought, 5-4 decision at Hinds on Tuesday afternoon to fall to 3-3 on the season.
Northwest's Chelsea Jarrell handled Brittany Weathersby 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles and
Kaylan Cooper defeated Haley Hicks 6-4, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. Additionally,
Derravia Carpenter conquered Aygul Brown 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 6 position to tie up the match 3-3.
Hinds came away the victor in the doubles competition, as Carpenter/Cooper were the lone duo to put up points for Northwest beating Hicks/Kaitlyn Adcox 8-6.
Northwest will be back at The ROC on Saturday, April 11 to take on Hinds at 2 p.m.
