SENATOBIA – Third-year head tennis coach Troy Howell grabbed some local talent in his 2016 signing class, inking Emily Newman from Senatobia High School.

Playing for head coach Jacob Iles the past three seasons, Newman has played mixed doubles, singles and doubles for the Warriors.

As a junior playing mixed doubles, she and her partner only lost three matches all of last season. Newman was named most improved female as a sophomore and most valuable player as a junior.
