Ranger Men Drop First Match of the Season at East Central

DECATUR – The Northwest men's tennis team was defeated 7-2 by 25th-ranked East Central on Tuesday afternoon during the Rangers' second match in as many days.

Northwest fell behind early during singles play to the Warriors, dropping five of six matches.

Sophomore Joseph Shidler outworked opponent Juan Miranda in 6-4, 6-1 wins at the No.1 singles spot.

Shidler/Christian Scott took the lone Ranger win in doubles play, defeating
Robert Strong/Juan Miranda 8-3.

Northwest will be on the road next Monday, March 30, meeting Northeast for a second time this season. First serve is set for 10:30 a.m. at the New Albany Tennis Center.
