SENATOBIA – The Northwest women's tennis team extended its home win streak to four matches in an 8-1 win against Holmes at The ROC on Monday.

Holmes was two players short in its lineup, therefore Northwest opened the match with default wins at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles for an early 2-0 lead.

The match opened with doubles play first, where the Lady Rangers swept behind No. 1 Madison Jarrell/Chelsea Jarrell (8-3), No. 2 Macey Magee/Anna Rosenbaum (8-3) and No. 3 Derravia Carpenter/Kaylan Cooper (8-0).

Northwest held on strong during the singles matches with a 5-1 lead. C. Jarrell had an impressive run with 6-1, 6-1 wins over Jennifer Rule in the No. 1 position. Allie Furdge outlasted M. Jarrell for the Lady Bulldogs' lone win. 

Northwest will be on the road Tuesday to take on East Central.
