SENATOBIA – Northwest successfully opened the 2015 tennis season on Monday at The ROC, dismantling Northeast 8-1 to win its fifth straight home match dating back to last season.
The match opened with singles play first, with the Rangers taking five of six. Northeast's lone win came at No. 4 singles where Reid Price held off
Jon Morgan Bell in three sets 1-6, 6-2, 11-9.
Freshman
Thomas Hall skunked Adam Holley, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
The Rangers swept all three doubles points to take the match 8-1, with Hall/
Tyler Newman winning a thrilling match, 11-9, at the No. 2 spot.
