Janesha Johnson hit five of the Lady Rangers' 14 3-pointers and
Jaliyaah Patterson put Northwest over the century mark for a third time this season in a 103-82 rout of Arkansas Baptist Monday night.
Northwest improved to 4-0 on the season while ABC fell to 0-6. The Lady Rangers never trailed on the night and held ABC without a field goal the final 4:46 in the 21-point win.
Northwest scored 17 of the game's first 23 points to take an early 17-6 lead with baskets by five different Lady Rangers.
The lead remained double digits for the entire first half and Northwest led 43-32 at the break.
Back-to-back threes from Johnson and a fast break layup from
Destiny Gardner stretched the lead to a game-high 63-42 with just under six minutes to play.
Patterson's 3-pointer with 1:47 left off a
JaKayla Johnson assist helped the Lady Rangers bust the clock for the third time in four games this season. Northwest is averaging 100.8 points a game, third-best in the NJCAA.
Behind Johnson's 24 points and eight rebounds,
Brianna Williams added 19,
Kelsey Brown had 17 and Averyale finished with 16 points, seven assists, five steals and five rebounds.
BrayLee Landreth had seven points and eight boards in 19 minutes off the bench.
Northwest will host Lawson State (4-2) on Friday, Nov. 20 at noon.
