Rangers Extend Streak to Four in Road Triumph at Hinds

UTICA – Trailing by two at the half on the road at Hinds, Northwest caught fire from the floor in the second half to pull away for an 86-68 win Thursday night.

Northwest won its fourth in a row to improve to 4-1 while Hinds dropped to 1-3 on the young season.

The Rangers shot 52 percent for the game, hitting shot after shot early in the second half to eventually pull away. Mark Partee hit a pair of 3-pointers and Dre'Kalo Clayton connected on a pair to open up a double digit lead.

Eleven different Rangers scored in the 18-point win, led by reigning MACJC Player of the Week, Seth LeDay, who pumped in 24 points on 10-of-14 aim. Clayton added 16 points and Partee added 12 to go along with eight assists and zero turnovers. Keelin Jackson scored nine off the bench.

Northwest finished with 20 assists on 33 made field goals and connected on 8-of-17 shots from beyond the arc. 

Hinds shot 45 percent for the game. They were led in the scoring column by Bobby Powell's 22 points.

Northwest will host Arkansas Baptist on Monday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m.
