The Lady Rangers and the Lady Mountaineers went scoreless during two full halves. Eastern Oklahoma dominated the stat sheet with a 20-7 shot advantage, but Northwest controlled the field the majority of the time.

The Northwest defense was a serious force that Eastern Oklahoma needed to recognize.

In the 66th
minute, the Lady Mountaineers came up with two dangerous shots back-to-back that Ashley Nelson was prepared to stop. Nelson made 13 big saves in the first 90 minutes.

During both overtime periods, Eastern Oklahoma dominated the attack with an 8-1 shot advantage, but Nelson came up with five more saves to finish with a career-high 18 stops.

The Lady Rangers finished with 16 fouls, including two yellow cards called against them.

Eastern Oklahoma's goalkeeper, Alexus Espinosa, finished with five saves and was a force on their defense that stopped many offensive attacks before they became too dangerous.
