OBHS' Kendall McCoy Inks with Northwest

OLIVE BRANCH – Second-year head tennis coach Troy Howell picked up his third women's signee for the 2015 class on Monday, inking Kendall McCoy of Olive Branch High School to a national letter of intent.

"Kendall is a very self-motivated and driven student-athlete," OBHS assistant coach Lauren Stratton said. "She is constantly striving to get better as an individual and to make others around her better."

A true student-athlete who succeeded on the court and in the classroom, McCoy was a combined 9-2 in girls doubles and mixed doubles this season for coaches Blake Jones and Lauren Stratton and will also graduate fifth in her class out of 280 students.

McCoy will be inducted into the OBHS Hall of Fame with a 4.47 GPA and also received the All-Academic Tennis Scholar Award, Leadership Award, Hustle Award and Most Improved Player Award during her career.

Northwest is coming off a 6-6 season and sixth place finish at the MACJC Tournament.
