PERKINSTON – Northwest dropped an 8-1 decision at #21 Gulf Coast on Saturday in Perk.

Gulf Coast improved to 8-1 on the year while Northwest dropped to 4-5.

After falling 8-0 in No.'s 1-2 doubles, Derravia Carpenter/Hannah Switzer put up a nice fight at No. 3 in dropping an 8-4 decision to Anneisia Johnson/Aliesha Barlow.

MGCCC won in straight sets in all but one singles match, with Ashley Roberson defeating Tori Rose 6-2, 6-2. Roberson improved to 8-2 overall this season with the win.

Northwest returns to action on Tuesday, April 8 at Northeast.
