Lady Rangers Roll Past Lady Tigers, 7-2

SENATOBIA – Northwest won its second match at home in five days on Tuesday, knocking off Northeast by a 7-2 final to avenge a 6-3 loss to the Lady Tigers this fall in New Albany.

Northwest improved to 3-4 overall and will travel to Holmes for a noon first serve on Thursday.

Northwest led the match 2-1 after the doubles points with Anna Rosenbaum/Madison Jarrell winning 8-3 at No. 1 and Hannah Switzer/Derravia Carpenter taking an 8-2 win at No. 3.

In singles action, the Lady Rangers' lone loss came at No. 6 as they won all five prior in convincing fashion. 

Switzer continued her strong play at No. 4 and improved to a perfect 7-0 this year with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Haley Brown. Ashley Roberson moved to 5-2 in singles play, winning a 6-1, 6-3 decision over Erica Whitten.
