Shaquilla Isom led six Lady Rangers in double figures with a game-high 18 points and Northwest shot 45 percent for the game in running away with a 98-61 victory over Mid-South Tuesday night at Howard Coliseum.
Northwest improved to 2-0 on the young season while Mid-South fell to 0-3.
Northwest's constant pressure and up-tempo play forced a season-high 35 Mid-South turnovers (20 steals) that converted into 50 points on the other end. The Lady Rangers also outscored the Lady Greyhounds 46-25 off the bench.
Twelve different players scored for Northwest in the win as they led from start to finish.
Behind Isom's 18, Bethany Lytle scored 12, Leah Lytle and Carshava Sutton added 11 and both Monique Biggins and Catonya Newsom chipped in 10 points. Nikki McChristian pulled down a team-high seven rebounds in addition to five points and four steals.
Mid-South was paced by Rachell Hughes' 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Northwest will close out a three-game homestand on Thursday against Hinds. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m.
