Freshman Jackson Smith had a strong start on the hill in five relief appearances for Northwest in February.

Smith went 1-0 with three saves and a team-best 1.42 ERA. He struck out 10 against two walks in 6.1 innings of work and held opposing hitters to a .143 batting average.
