Damian Baker has continued to impress week after week for the Rangers on the gridiron. 

In the month of September, Baker had 60 carries for 391 yards (6.5 average) and four touchdowns. He averaged 97.8 yards-per-game and had a breakout game at Coahoma in which he went for 198 yards and three scores on just 16 carries. He added 10 catches for 150 yards and a 66-yard touchdowns.

Baker is chasing a 21-year-old rushing record (2,283 yards) set by LaVelle Danzy during the 1991-92 season. With four games to play against Delta, Holmes, East Mississippi and Jones County, Baker needs 589 yards to break the career rushing record.
