Sophomore defensive lineman Willie McCaleb (Grenada/Grenada HS) tallied 17 tackles and team highs in tackles-for-loss (6.5) and sacks (4.5) in the month of Septemeber to help the Rangers to a 5-0 start.

McCaleb added a 5-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown at Hinds to go along with eight quarterback hurries and a pass breakup on the season.

McCaleb has already matched most of his totals from all of last season and has been a big part of a Ranger defense that ranks 10th in the country in scoring defense (12.6 ppg) and 13th in the NJCAA in rushing defense (73.8 ypg).
