Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers

Chad Cupples closed out his Northwest golf career in style at the NJCAA National Tournament, carding an eighth place finish at even par.

The sophomore from Southaven had a four-day total of 288 (73-73-71-71) and was just three strokes off a Top 5 finish. His eighth place finish is the second best in school history behind Bryce Caldwell's fifth place finish (tie) in 2001. 

Cupples was also the only golfer in the MACJC to place in the Top 15, with Gulf Coast's Jake Pritchard (16th) and EMCC's Miles Respess (17th) rounding out three guys from the league in the Top 20. 

He was named an NJCAA First Team All-American based on his finish, making him the first first-teamer since 2001.
