Sophomore return specialist Marcel Newson had 11 kick returns for 258 yards (23.5 avg) and a long of 55 to break the school's all-time kick return record in the month of September. He's now over 1,000 yards for his career, the first player ever to accomplish the feat. 

Newson added seven punt returns for 94 yards (13.4 avg), including a 53-yard return for a score at Hinds.
