Freshman goalkeeper Ashley Nelson helped Northwest to a 3-2-3 record and first-ever national ranking thanks to her stellar play in net in September.

Nelson had 90 saves and a .947 save percentage, allowing just five goals in eight matches with four shutouts. 

She logged 780 total minutes with a 0.58 goals against average.
