Thomas Dylan Rakestraw begins his first year as the Northwest Mississippi Community College football team's academic advisor in the fall of 2026.
Rakestraw is a 2021 graduate of Delta State University and holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education.
The Senatobia native most recently taught both 4th and 5th grades at Olive Branch Intermediate School since January 2022.
Rakestraw worked as an intern in the Sports Information offices for both Northwest and Delta State and worked as a private tutor for grades ranging from 2nd to 8th while he was in college. He also spent time as an intern at Hayes Cooper Elementary and at the Ingomar Attendance Center from August 2020 to December 2021.
