High School: Played for head coach Newton Mealer at Center Hill...helped the Mustangs to a 19-13 season, division championship and quarterfinal appearance in the Class 5A state playoffs his senior year...averaged 17 points, four rebounds and three assists per game as a senior...named first team all-district and earned team MVP and best defensive player honors...all-star game MVP...scored a career-high 33 points and dished out six assists in an 87-39 win against West Memphis Christian on Nov. 18, 2014...three-time district champions...helped the Mustangs to a 27-5 mark his junior year, the most wins in program history...also recruited by SIU-Edwardsville, Middle Tennessee, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Christian Brothers and Union University among others...off the court, was an honor roll and principal’s list student.
