Biography

2022 [Freshman]: Played in 48 games last season and climbed the Northwest record books, while helping the Rangers to the NJCAA Region 23 Championship and the program's first-ever appearance in the NJCAA Division II Softball Championship tournament...claimed the Rangers' single-season home run record with 18, surpassing teammate Saige Koczka's previous record of 14 set in 2021...also earned single-season records in runs batted in (RBIs) with 63, total bases (145) and tied with six of her teammates for most games played (54)...finished second in doubles (19), second in at-bats (180), second in slugging percentage (.806), third in hits (70), third in runs scored (55), batted over .400 for most of the season, ultimately finishing with a .397 batting average, 18 doubles, a triple, 18 home runs and 61 RBIs...also totaled a .928 fielding percentage at third base, earning 68 putouts and 61 assists in 139 total chances...one of her best batting performances came in her Northwest debut, finishing 4-for-4 at the plate with two home runs and five RBIs in a win against National Park College on February 1...also drove in six RBIs in an April 6 win against Coahoma...went 9-for-9 on the season in stolen base attempts...earned MACCC Player of the Week recognition on April 19, after batting .538 with five home runs and 10 RBIs in a 3-1 stretch against Holmes and East Central...also received All-MACCC, NJCAA All-Region 23, NFCA/NJCAA Division II All-American and NJCAA Second Team All-American accolades...off the field, named to Fall 2021 Vice President's List and Spring 2022 President's List...also a member of Phi Theta Kappa.

High School: Played for coach Tammy Young at Senatobia...as a senior, helped the Lady Warriors to a 20-5-2 overall record, the Region 2-3A championship and the second round of the Class 3A playoffs...teammates with current Rangers Anna Nickens and Kara Johnson.

Personal: Daughter of Ginger and Jerry Polk...has two siblings, McKenzie (24) and McKenna (21)...enjoys playing pool in her spare time...studying accounting...nickname is "K.K."...born February 15, 2003.
