2017-18 [Southwest Mississippi CC]: Played in nine games last season at SMCC...averaged 8.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and one assist for the Bears...picked up his only double-double of the season (27 pts., 10 rebs.) in a season-opening victory against William Carey JV.

High School: Played for head coach Marcus Price at Laurel...helped the Golden Tornadoes to a 26-5 overall mark as a senior and back-to-back Class 5A state championships.

Personal: Son of Veronica Benson...studying general college...nickname is "Von"...born January 5, 1997.
