High School: Played for head coach Ty Weems at Morton...led team with 105 total tackles as a senior with six sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries...two-time district champions...named Class 3A Second Team Defense by Mississippi Gridiron...first-team all-district and all-state selection...won numerous team awards, including Defensive MVP, Best Lineman and Most Improved Lineman...also participated in powerlifting and shot put...received interest from Louisiana Tech, Memphis and West Alabama.

Personal: Son of Mareia and Anthony Gilbert...has three older siblings, Mareia, Laricka and Willie Earl Readus, who is playing basketball overseas...studying criminal justice...born October 13, 1998.
