Biography

2021: Led the FCS in completions per game (31.91) and finished second in points responsible for per game (27.8), third in passing yards per game (357.64), fourth in passing yards (3934) and total offense (360.1), and fifth in passing touchdowns (39) and points responsible for (262)…led the Pioneer Football League in those categories as well as total touchdowns (41) and completions (351)…passed for 576 yards and tossed 10 touchdowns to break Willie Totten’s FCS record and earn FCS National and PFL Offensive Player of the Week in a victory over St. Andrews (9/4/21)…set DI record with 50 completions v. Morehead State (10/9/21)…named to the Walter Payton Award Watch List…earned an honorable mention selection in the PFL.

2020: Academic All-Big Ten at Michigan…shared Scout Team Offensive Player of the Week during preparations for Michigan’s game v. Rutgers…acknowledged as a James B. Angell Scholar for having three straight semesters with a 4.0 GPA.

2019: Academic All-Big Ten…recognized as Scout Team Offensive Player of the week prior to the Michigan State game…received the William J. Branstrom Freshman Prize for achieving top 5% of class after first year.

High School: Played for coach Buck James at Bryant HS…helped the Hornets to an 11-2 record and the Arkansas  Class 7A state championship as a senior…amassed 319 completions, 746 pass attempts, 5198 passing yards, and 46 passing touchdowns during his time at Bryant…had 12 200+yd passing games…threw four TDs in a game three times…named All-Conference and Arkansas Prep’s Top 10 Sophomores in 2016…as a freshman, was part of Pulaski Academy’s 2015 squad that went 14-0 and won the 5A championship, passing for 124 yards and a touchdown while catching 13 passes for 234 yards and three TDs…rated a two-star prospect by Rivals.com…received recruiting interest from Eastern Illinois and UT-Martin.

Personal: Son of Bill and Lisa Hefley…has three siblings – Bailey, Hannah, and Will…brother, Will, was a two-time state champion quarterback for Pulaski and played at the University of Tulsa…studying economics and accounting…elected Class President at Bryant…enjoys fishing, hunting, and playing both the piano and guitar in his free time…first name is Warren…born February 26, 2000.
