High School: Played for head coach Ed Rich at Southaven...team finished 9-3 and advanced to the Class 6A state playoffs in his senior season...named Bank Plus Player of the Week four times and to the Touchdown Club of Memphis in his senior season...rushed for a career-high 400 yards against Olive Branch...recruited by Memphis, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Alabama.
