Rainy Bordelon begins her first season as a full-time assistant coach and her third season overall. During her time with the program, Northwest cheer has placed third overall twice in the Open Small Coed Division, second overall twice in the Open Game Day division, and recently won the 2024 UCA College Cheer National Championship in the Open All Girl division.
Bordelon graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science in Education for sports coaching. She is an alumnus of the Ranger cheer program, graduating from Northwest with an associate degree in exercise science.
During her three years as a member of the Northwest cheer team she won three UCA national titles-one in Open Coed Game Day and two in Open Small Coed Traditional.
Bordelon is a graduate of Hernando High School, where she was a varsity cheerleader for four years.
