Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers

2013 [FRESHMAN]:
Played in 30 games, starting in 21 at first and four in the designated hitter spot...hit .242 with six doubles, a home run and 17 RBIs...had six multi-hit and three multi-RBI games...had a career-high three hits (twice) vs Rend Lake and East Mississippi...hit his first collegiate home run vs East Mississippi on April 23...scored 10 runs...2-for-2 in stolen bases...member of the Fall 2013 Dean's List.

SUMMER 2012:
Played and started in 12 games for the North Delta Dealers of the Cotton States League who went 15-3-1 overall...led the team in batting average (.371), doubles (five) and slugging percentage (.571)...also had a triple and nine RBIs...had a .436 on-base percentage...stole 3-of-3 bases.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Played for head coaches Doug Robbins (9-10th) and Kary Bridges (11-12th) at Water Valley...helped the Blue Devils to the state playoffs all four years...an all-state selection his junior-senior seasons...as a junior, hit .459 with nine home runs and 43 RBIs...as a senior, hit .420 from the plate and posted a 1.62 ERA on the mound...teammates with former Rangers Walt McCullough and Drew Pratt.

PERSONAL:
Son of Robert King and Andrea Rutherford...his father was a pitcher at Memphis for two seasons...has an older sister, Lindsay (22) and a younger brother, Dylan (16)...enjoys to hunt and fish in his free time...majoring in general college...born September 29, 1993.
