High School: Played for head coach Rusty Cagle at Lewisburg...helped the Patriots to a 21-12 finish and quarterfinal appearance in the Class 5A State Playoffs last season...team also won the Region 1-5A title in four consecutive seasons...named Region 1-5A Player of the Year as a senior and earned First Team All-District 1-5A honors…selected to participate in the 2015 North Mississippi/West Tennessee All-Star Game...pitched 59 innings as a senior for LHS with a 2.23 ERA and a 7-2 record...recorded 69 strikeouts, including a season-best eight strikeouts (three times)...at the plate, hit six doubles with 17 RBIs...as a junior, hit .311 with five doubles and 12 RBIs...on the mound, collected a 3.50 ERA with a 3-1 record and 24 strikeouts...received interest from Ole Miss, USM, Alabama and Memphis before committing to Mississippi State on January 25, 2016.
 
Personal: Son of Michael and Mia Plumlee...has a younger sister, Ashlyn (15)…father, Michael, played baseball at Delta State University (1991-92) and finished his career with a .358 batting average, 17 doubles, 22 home runs and was a 2004 inductee into DSU’s Hall of Fame...nickname is “Plum”...enjoys hunting in his spare time…studying in business…born February 10, 1997.
