High School: Played for head coach Jarrod Corlew and graduated with honors from Strayhorn...help guide the Mustangs to five consecutive Region 3-2A titles and the second round of the Class 2A state playoffs his senior year...switched from pitcher to the outfield as a senior and hit .385 with five doubles, a home run and 14 RBIs...named to the Mississippi Association of Coaches Class 2A All-State Team and played in both the D.M. Howie and North MS-West TN All-Star games...Preseason Top 40 senior by The Clarion-Ledger...as a junior, batted a team-leading .512 with 17 doubles, four triples, four home runs and 37 RBIs...won team MVP and Best Offense awards...struck out nine batters and hit a two-run homer in a 2016 playoff matchup vs. East Union...also played football for the Mustangs, helping the team to back-to-back playoff appearances and the Region 3-2A championship as a senior...achieved a 4.0 GPA and was a member of the Interact Club.
