High School: A three-year letterwinner under head coach Chris McMinn at Magnolia Heights...a member of the 2013-14 Dandy Dozen list...2014 MAIS State Champions...in eight appearances his senior year, accumulated a 4-1 record with a 1.78 ERA and struck out 50 batters in 35 innings of work...played first base, shortstop, third base, outfield and pitcher in high school...off the field, a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Daniel and Belen Castro...has an older brother, Daniel, and two sisters, Ana and Daniela...studying general college...born August 31, 1996.
