Freshman: Appeared in 44 games in a multitude of roles for the Rangers... hit .305 with 4 home runs, 5 triples. 10 doubles, and 26 RBIs as a Freshman, including a 3 hit performance at the plate against Mississippi Delta... also pitched 7.2 innings with 12 strikeouts for the Rangers... 

High School: Played for head coach Derrick Thompson at Mooreville...helped the Troopers to a 26-10 record and the playoffs as a senior...batted .400 with 42 base hits and 34 RBIs...also finished with a .496 on-base percentage...first team all-region and all-state selection...received interest from a handful of MACCC programs.

Personal: Son of Lorrie and Chris Gillentine...has an older brother, Wesley (22)...hobbies include hunting and fishing...studying business...nickname is “Gilly”...born July 15, 2005.
