2021 [Freshman]: Made 12 appearances on the mound, earning five starts...threw 20 strikeouts across 33.1 innings, for a 2-3 record and a pair of saves...struck out 10 batters in a complete game victory against Hinds on March 28, his first collegiate win...also delivered eight strikeouts in a close loss to Mississippi Delta on April 6...earned his two saves against East Central and Jones College...off the field, named to the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 President's Lists...recognized as both a Distinguished Academic All-MACCC and first team NJCAA All-Academic selection.

High School: Played for head coach Justin Reed at Tupelo...helped the Golden Wave to an 11-1 record in a COVID-19 shortened senior season...went 3-1 on the mound with an 0.37 ERA...struck out 28 batters against four walks, allowing only one earned run...notched a career-high 10 strikeouts in a 2-0 victory against Starkville on March 7, 2020...missed nearly the entire 2019 season due to injury...as a sophomore, guided THS to a 22-7 overall record, a 7-2 mark in Region 2-6A and the second round of the 2018 Class 6A playoffs...made 15 appearances on the mound, finishing 6-1 with a 0.57 ERA...struck out 38 batters against eight walks and allowed only three earned runs...notched a season-best six strikeouts in a pair of victories against Itawamba Agricultural and Starkville...earned two saves against South Panola and Mooreville...earned team MVP honors as a sophomore...was also part of Tupelo's 2017 state championship squad that finished 26-10 on the season...off the field, a consistent straight A student and member of National Honor Society...received interest from South Alabama, Samford and a handful of MACCC programs.

Personal: Son of Kelly and John Michael Marlin...has two brothers, Jake (15) and Mitchell (12)...father, John Michael, played for the football program at Mississippi State as the team's kicker (2001-03)...enjoys hunting and training his dog in his spare time...studying kinesiology...born December 13, 2001.
