Northwest added fastpitch softball in 1998 and, after playing at the city park for three seasons, moved to Northwest Softball Field in the fall of 2001 under the direction of MACJC Hall of Famer, Mike Rowan.

Senatobia has been good to Northwest, with the Rangers posting an impressive 148-53-1 mark (.735) at home since 2007.

A new press box and bleachers were constructed before the start of the 2013 season with seating for 195 fans. There are spots down the foul lines on each side that can hold 50 spectators. A concession stand and restrooms are situated adjacent the home dugout, as the area is also home to Ranger soccer in the fall.
