High School: Played for head Amy Koonce at Lewisburg...helped the Patriots to a 16-1 record (best in the state) his senior year and to the championship match...finished second in the state and was the No. 1 seed in 4A...team finished third in the district...went to the state tournament in three of his four seasons and was an all-state selection...off the court, leader of his church youth group and graduated LHS with a 4.2 GPA.

Personal: Son of Phil and Joanne Shidler...has two older brothers, Daniel (25), who played tennis at Memphis, and Matt (23), who ran track at Mississippi College...his brothers won the MS State Championships in doubles...his dad was a pitcher at Purdue...enjoys playing ping pong and basketball in his free time...nickname is "Slim Shidy"...majoring in general college...born May 7, 1995.
