2021 [Freshman]: Helped Northwest to a 9-3 overall record, the MACCC Championship and an appearance in the inaugural NJCAA Division I Football Playoffs...saw action in nine games last season, recording 12 tackles, two tackles-for-loss and a quarterback hurry...logged a season-best three tackles in back-to-back wins against Mississippi Gulf Coast (October 14) and Itawamba (October 21)...also fielded one kick return for 18 yards in an October 7 win at Coahoma.

2020: Enrolled for the Spring 2021 semester and was named to the Vice President’s List.

High School: Played for coach Chris Cutcliffe at Oxford...helped the Chargers to a 14-1 record and the MHSAA Class 6A state championship as a senior, Oxford’s first title...notched a team-leading 134 tackles, along with 26 quarterback hurries, 10 tackles-for-loss and eight sacks during his senior season...racked up 243 tackles, 26 tackles for loss and 10 sacks during his varsity career...represented Mississippi as a linebacker in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game...selected to the first team as a linebacker on the Clarion-Ledger’s All-State team and by region coaches as All-Region 1-6A...also chosen as a second team All-State performer in 6A by the Mississippi Association of Coaches and by MaxPreps/Suddenlink...chosen All-Area by The Oxford Eagle as an inside linebacker and All-End Zone as a second team performer by WCBI...selected to the coaches’ All-Region 1-6A first team in 2018...chosen team captain during his senior season...off the field, was an Honor Roll student at OHS...received numerous interest and offers, including Southeast Missouri State and multiple MACCC schools.

Personal: Son of Kenorus and Angelica Wilson...has two siblings, Akiyah Vaughn (15) and Mariah Wilson...enjoys fishing and hanging out with friends in his spare time...studying business and marketing...nicknames are “Blue Eyes” and “Yon”...born April 3, 2002.
