2020 [Sophomore]: Named to the Mississippi Gridiron MACCC All-Gridiron team, chosen as the All-MACCC North Division Defensive Back MVP, and recognized by JCGridiron.com as a third team Fall All-American.

2019 [Freshman]: Played in all 11 contests last season...finished with 27 total tackles, two TFLs, a sack, a hurry, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery...totaled a career-best nine tackles in the Rangers' 56-36 victory at East Mississippi on October 3...off the field, earned Academic All-MACJC and NJCAA All-Academic accolades.

High School: Played for coach Judd Boswell at Clinton...helped the Arrows to a 7-4 record as a senior...was also a member of the 2016 Arrow team that captured the MHSAA 6A title...hauled in 29 catches for 420 receiving yards and four TDs to go along with 43 total tackles, 14 for a loss, five sacks and two interceptions in his senior season...the versatile player was selected to the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game roster as a tight end, the #MSPreps Clarion Ledger All-State team as an athlete, the Mississippi Association of Coaches 6A All-State first team as a linebacker and second team as a receiver...received recruiting interest from Rice, Samford and Tennessee-Martin, among others...a member of the National Honor Society and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes...teammates with current Rangers Hunter Hulsey, E. Jai Mason and Jakobe McLaurin.

Personal: Son of Cedrick and Necole Baker...has two brothers, Jalyn (23) and Landyn (12)...studying biological science...favorite hobby is playing video games...nickname is “Dez”...born February 15, 2001.
