High School: Played for coach Ryan Smith at Newton...helped the Tigers to a 6-5 overall record and the first round of the Class 2A state playoffs last season...tallied 25 total tackles and four interceptions as a senior...reeled in six picks during his junior year...also played wideout, catching 37 passes for 569 yards and five touchdowns...was part of two playoff teams at Newton...named Mississippi’s top defensive back in Class 2A according to MaxPreps...Super 22 selection...earned numerous accolades from The Clarion-Ledger, including Second Team All-State, 10 Seniors to Watch and nominated for Football Athlete of the Year...received interest from Mississippi State, Memphis, Southern Miss, South Alabama and Louisiana...member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
