2016-17 [Southwest Mississippi]: A reserve forward for Thomas Gray's 18-9 Bears...saw action in three games before an injury.

High School: Played for head coach Jerry Currie at Forest Hill...helped the Patriots to a 19-11 record and the first round of the MHSAA Class 6A playoffs as a senior in 2015...averaged 14.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 1.3 blocks and an assist per game during his senior campaign...scored a season-high 22 points in a victory against Wingfield...named All-State Honorable Mention by the Clarion-Ledger...received several team awards, including team MVP and Best Offense honors.

Personal: Son of Doris and Joe Coleman...has an older sister, Tambia (31)...father, Joe, played basketball for Ole Miss in 1984-85 and was Mississippi's "Mr. Basketball" award winner while at Forest Hill HS in 1984....mother, Doris, was an All-SWAC basketball athlete at Jackson State...enjoys spending time with family...studying business management...nickname is "J-Train"...born December 17, 1996.
