2011 (South Alabama): Played in all 10 games and helped the Jaguars to a 6-4 season record...tallied 25 tackles with 2.0 tackles-for-loss, an interception and a fumble recovery.

High School: A four-year letterman at Decatur High School...rated second among inside linebackers in Alabama by ESPN.com...a three-star prospect by Rivals.com and two-star prospect from Scout.com, which also had him among the top 100 middle linebackers in the country...played in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic, finishing with four total stops including a tackle for a loss of five yards to help the team to a 24-17 double-overtime win...helped DHS finish 9-2 after advancing to the state 6A playoffs as a senior...scored the Red Raiders’ only touchdown in their postseason game on an eight-yard run...collected 109 tackles, with 13 behind the line of scrimmage, his junior season, adding 57 rushes for 339 yards on offense...as a sophomore, posted 95 tackles and two interceptions...served as a team captain...also a four-year letterwinner in track.

Personal: Son of Alfred and Sharon LaVelle...the youngest of six children...transferred to Northwest in the summer of 2012...also recruited by Washington State and MTSU...is an artist off the field...born Jan. 18, 1992.
