High School: Played for head coach Chris Baughman at Oxford...helped lead the Chargers (35-1) to their first-ever MHSAA 5A State Championship his senior year...had a team-best .466 batting average, eight doubles, three home runs and 24 RBIs...4A-6A NEMCABB Player of the Year...Best of MSPreps All-State Honorable Mention...hit .383 with 11 doubles, a triple, three home runs and 35 RBIs as a junior...had a .544 on-base percentage and .963 fielding percentage in 214 chances...also saw time on the mound, going 3-1 with a save and 4.20 ERA in seven appearances...MaxPreps Player of the Week selection nearly a dozen times during his career.
