2016: First Team All-MACJC...MACJC Pitcher of the Week (Feb. 23)...appeared in 15 games on the season, 13 starts, going 5-6 with a 3.05 ERA...logged a team-high 80.1 innings and 65 strikeouts against 27 walks...tossed three complete games...opponents hit .256 against him...opened the season with 20 strikeouts and no walks in his first four appearances...had eight quality starts on the year...off the field, a 2015-16 NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete...also a two-time member of the Dean's List and fall 2016 President's List honoree...inducted into the 2016-17 Northwest Hall of Fame.

High School: Played for head coach Chris Ring at Arlington (Tenn.)...helped the Tigers to a 29-7 record, Class AAA state playoff berth and District 14 runner-up finish last season...was 6-1 with five saves and a 1.16 ERA...struck out 67 in 42 innings of work with a 1.095 WHIP...in a sub-state loss to Houston, came on in relief to strike out eight of nine batters faced in 3 IP...as a junior, was 6-1 with a 1.27 ERA and 1.045 WHIP...team won District 14-AAA...an all-district and all-region selection...named Perfect Game Southeast Region Honorable Mention...participated in the TSSAA Public vs. Private All-Star Game...named Pepsi-Commercial Appeal Best of Preps Scholar-Athlete of the Year…off the field, a member of the National Honor Society for English, math and science…graduated within the top two percent of his senior class…received interest from Air Force, Ole Miss, Memphis, Arkansas State, Middle Tennessee State and Tennessee Tech…teammates with current Ranger Aaron Campbell...played summer ball for Memphis Tigers baseball.
 
Personal: Son of Merrie and Skipper Wright...father played baseball at Ole Miss (1983-86) and spent time in the Atlanta Braves organization (1986-91)...has two younger siblings, Audrey (18) and Caroline (16)...studying biology and pre-medicine...born December 15, 1996.
