2013 [FRESHMAN]:
Played and started in 48 of 49 games, seeing time in right field, second and third base...hit .318 with five doubles, 15 RBIs and 36 runs scored...had a season-best 7-game hitting streak...had 15 multi-hit and two multi-RBI games...went a career-best 3-for-5 against #16 East Central in the state championship game...had a career-best three RBIs in a 2-for-4 outing at #8 Pearl River...stole 20-of-24 bases...walked 16 times and was hit six times...had a .400 on-base percentage...member of the Fall 2013 Dean's List. 

HIGH SCHOOL:
Played for head coach Chris Baughman at Oxford...helped the Chargers to back-to-back playoff appearances in 2011 and 2012...hit .337 as a senior with 22 RBIs and 27 runs scored...went 3-3 on the mound with a 3.26 ERA in 38.2 innings of work...in 11 appearances, he struck out 16 and held opponents to a .274 batting average...Chargers went 19-12 his senior campaign.

Son of Jim and Jacqui Lear...his father played football at Ole Miss (quarterback)...has an older sister, Jordan (23)...enjoys playing golf, volleyball and ping pong in his spare time...majoring in pre-med...born June 8, 1994.
