High School: Played for head coach Nick Nester at Lake Cormorant...helped the Gators to a 7-6 record and first round playoff appearance his senior year...played fullback and defensive end...rushed for 799 yards and 10 touchdowns, averaging 8.4 yards-per-carry...also had 48 tackles (29 solo), 10 quarterback hurries and five sacks...first team all-district and first team all-state fullback...also a two-time national champion and three-time 5A state champion in powerlifting in the 220 class...off the field, a member of the chess team, knowledge bowl team and National Honor Society...graduated third in his class.
