Named a Top Incoming Freshman by the NJCAA

High School: Played for head coach Brad Peterson at Brandon... helped the Bulldogs to a 12-2 record as a senior...team advanced to the Class 6A South Half championship in 2014...completed 243 passes for 3,541 yards and 31 touchdowns...also rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns...passed for 450 yards and three touchdowns as a senior against Meridian..2012 Jackson Touchdown Club Player of the Year award...ended his time at Brandon as one of the metro area’s most successful quarterbacks with 11,222 career passing yards and 105 total touchdowns...an all-state and all-metro selection during his career...was named the South’s Offensive MVP in the 2014 Bernard Blackwell All-Star Game...off the field, he was inducted into the Brandon High School Hall of Fame, made a 30 on his ACT and graduated with a 4.0 GPA...also recruited by Troy, Southern Miss and Wake Forest.

Personal: Son of Kim and Flint Minshew...father, Flint, was inducted into the Millsaps Hall of Fame for football...has two younger sisters, Meredith (17) and Callie (14)...in his spare time, he enjoys playing ping-pong and basketball...nickname is “G”...studying business...born May 16, 1996.
