2015: Played in all 12 games as a freshman, earning the start at Jones County and Delta...tallied 24 tackles (19 solo), 4.0 tackles-for-loss and 1.5 sacks...added five breakups, an interception and forced fumble...had a season-high six tackles and 1.5 sacks in a 40-0 win at Delta...off the field, a 2015-16 NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Award winner and member of the Dean's List for the fall 2015 term.

High School: Played for head coach Johnny Hill at Oxford...led the Chargers to a 13-2 record as a senior and back-to-back Class 5A State Championship appearances in 2013-14...tallied 42 total tackles and seven interceptions as a senior, breaking a single season record in that category...first team selection to the Mississippi Association of Coaches Class 5A All-State team...also received interest from Alcorn State, East Mississippi and Northeast.

Personal: Grandson of Verlean Carothers...has two siblings, Corey Carothers (19) and Keatrice Houston (11)...cousin is Brandon Mack, who played for the Ranger football program from 2013-14...nickname is “Nookie”...in his spare time, he enjoys helping out kids at youth centers...studying general college...born December 26, 1995.
