2017: Started in five games behind the plate before suffering a season-ending injury...hit .333 (3-for-9) during his five-game stint in the lineup with a run scored...fielded .972 in 36 chances...threw out two runners attempting to steal...named to the spring 2017 Dean's List.

2016: Played in 40 games behind the plate (39 starts)...hit .254 with seven doubles, a home run, 21 RBIs and nine runs scored...had five sacrifice hits...was a career-high 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs at Southwest Mississippi...fielded .974 in 192 chances...threw out five runners.

High School: Played for head coach Patrick Robey at Lafayette...as a senior, hit .420 and was named the Co-Offensive Player of the Year in Division 2-4A by the Oxford Citizen and was a first team all-state selection...hit .410 as a junior with 42 RBIs (second-most on the team) and fielded .991 behind the plate with only one error in over 150 chances...named the team’s most valuable position player and was also First Team All-Division 2-4A...Lafayette won the 2014 Region 2-4A title...represented District 2 in the State Games of Mississippi in June 2014...recruited by numerous other MACJC schools.

Personal: Son of Mike and Lisa McPhail...has two older siblings, Emily and Mollie...likes to hunt and fish in his free time...studying sports medicine...born December 7, 1995.
