2014: Appeared in 10 games on the year, making four starts...went 2-1 with a 3.96 ERA...struck out 19 against 11 walks and allowed just five extra-base hits in 23 innings of work...made his first collegiate start on Feb. 25 vs Southwest Tennessee, scattering three hits, striking out seven and allowing no earned runs in a 4-1 win.

High School: Played for head coach Rusty Cagle at Lewisburg...helped the Patriots to their first 4A State Championship as a senior, leading the team in strikeouts (71), ERA (1.74) and WHIP...7-2 overall with two saves and a complete game in 48.1 innings pitched...a three-time selection as the team's Player of the Week via MaxPreps...also an all-district selection...2012 district champions and north half champions...also received college interest from numerous other MACJC schools.  

Personal: Son of Nancy Marini and Hub Barton...stepson of Vince Marini...has an older brother, Ernie (23)...cousin of 2012 MLB First Round draft pick Chris Stratton of the San Francisco Giants...nickname is "Pistol Pete"...likes to hunt and fish in his free time...studying education...born Nov. 5, 1994.
