CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Northwest Mississippi Community College football team (1-2) dropped to #14 in the NJCAA week four polls after suffering a 17-16 loss to Copiah-Lincoln Community College (2-1) last week, handing the Rangers back-to-back losses for the first time in the regular season since 2014. 

The Rangers are one of just two teams in the rankings with below .500 records, joining Coffeeville Community College (KS), who sit in the #15 spot. 

The MACCC is well represented, as is typical for the national poll, with six teams either in the top 15 or receiving votes. The top spot from the MACCC is still held by #3 Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (3-0), followed closely by #5 East Mississippi Community College (3-0). Co-Lin moved up from just outside of the top 15 to #10 in the nation, tied with Navarro College out of Texas. Sitting on the outside looking in from the MACCC are Itawamba Community College (2-1) and Jones College (2-1).
